Feeling of Freedom

BY ANASTASIA KOLENISHENKO

This project was created while traveling through the Republic of Dagestan. Inspired by a sense of detachment from place, the images reflect on the fear of the unknown, evoking landscapes that remain shrouded in human apprehension. Anastasia deliberately uses a mobile phone, embracing the immediacy of the moment and the passage of time. The compositions arise from objects found in their natural environments, intertwined with the scents of the habitats in which they exist. Flowers, regardless of surrounding fears, choose their own ground to grow, bringing peace and stillness to the places they inhabit. In this way, Anastasia creates portraits of the environment, flowers and stones rooted in this land, capturing both its quiet resilience and its delicate vulnerability.
